Plunge into productivity

"All our busyness often masks a misconception of what it means to be productive. Productivity isn't about doing more and more - or even about accomplishment. Does a tree 'accomplish' bearing fruit? Or is it the fruit merely a manifestation of what was inside the tree all along? Fruit also comes in due time, looks different at different stages, and is good to behold and eat. Are your deeds - those that are produced by your busyness - the same?" What a brilliant way to explore life with productivity. In her book Jesus, Life Coach Laurie Beth Jones approaches productivity from our being-ness and who we are. Truly the tree does not accomplish; it only manifests its own nature and yields the fruit of the seed it is carrying. It does not have the urge to be 'busy' in order to show it's own value. So our sense of value and feeling of fulfillment stem from expressing what is inside us all along; i.e. exhibiting our natural giftedness and innate abilities.
Can you imagine the peace one can feel just by understanding productivity from such a validating perspective? Such a natural sense of self-esteem and worthiness, energizes us to be truly involved in productive activities. We no longer want to waste valuable time and energy on what forces us to be something else. Just like the tree we want to nurture ourselves in order to blossom in our own right. We want to enjoy and witness the different stages of our life when the fruit we yield varies and grows.
Such an understanding drives me all the time to keep clarifying what I want and what appeals to my natural design. Once we have profound understanding of who we truly are, we come into alignment with our core substance and natural giftedness that will lead us to living a purposeful life. There will be always potential to explore and reach. Only then does the journey unfold as inspiring and productive.
Committing to one's self
In her book the Cosmic Ordering Service, Barbel Mohr says "Life has to become a path of increasing awareness, and so we suggest that you start making a stronger commitment to yourself."
In repeatedly stating the following phrase, "I make a stronger commitment to myself" you are declaring your intention to live your own truth. You are declaring that you wish to live in oneness, and in love and in the joy that naturally follow these things.
A clear, focused mind

From such a perspective, productivity is also the fulfillment of our core needs, such as the needs for significance, unique identity, competence, ability to make an impact, responsibility, membership and belonging, love, appreciation, meaning and purpose, etc.
In her article, Temperament and Stress in Our Everyday Life, Linda Berens rightly says, "Like a tree trunk, each temperament has a core from which all growth and rejuvenation originate. The growing part of a tree is at the center, and growth emanates outward from that center. If that center is damaged or diseased, the tree dies. For the temperament pattern, the growing part of the pattern is the core needs and values. It is only when these core needs are met that the individual is energized and truly high functioning."
Without attending to our core needs, natural preferences and innate giftedness, it is not just that we cannot yield fruits, but that we wither. We are then cut off from a major stream of energy. We are stressed, drained, restless and feeling insignificant. We can never be really functioning productively, our decisions will differ accordingly. For example, a person whose top core need is to have the freedom to act on needs of the moment without hindrance cannot be productive - being fruitful - where long procedures and rules need to be followed. Such a person needs flexibility and spontaneity in relationships, work, family, style of life, etc. Such a profound understanding of the organizing system of ourselves is crucial for making the true and right decisions to manifest what has been inside us all the time; we are then in powerful productivity.
Through the looking glass
It is how we think about ourselves and what we believe we are that shape our life and help us transcend into the beauty and value we are here to explore and manifest. I urge you to make the decision now of committing more strongly to yourself. See your core self with the right lenses that validate your ongoing self-discovery and empower your life!
